Who Are Blue Wave / YachtPro
Blue Wave is a Bangkok/Pattaya based private company set up by
Gary Baguley and Antony Chapman 5 years ago to provide products
and services to Hotels & Resorts . Originally setup to source and
supply a wide range of water sports products to hotel resorts in
Thailand, Blue Wave now operates four closely linked subsidiaries
focused on both the resort industry as well as the consumer market:
Blue Wave Watersports:
...as the South East Asian sole distributor of Hobie Cat Catamarans
& kayaks, Blue Wave has built a solid reputation for providing high
quality beach sailing and fun sea kayaks to hotel resorts. A close
partnership between Blue Wave and Hobie Cat has seen tremendous growth
in resort sailing and Watersports in the past 3 years. In addition
to Hobie Cat, Blue Wave offers a range of Windsurf products & packages
from Neil Pryde and Starboard along with other Watersports equipment,
training and maintenance services.
Blue Wave Marine Supplies:
...located in Pattaya / Jomtien Blue Wave operates 2 Chandleries –
one at Royal Varuna Yacht Club and the other at Ocean Marina Yacht
Club – and a 3rd store focusing on watersports products & services.
Blue Wave supplies a wide range of marine accessories, parts, supplies,
as well as a wide range of sailing accessories and apparel.
Blue Wave Bath Amenities:
...in partnership with Hong Kong based Guest Supply Asia, a leader
in the design and supply of Hotel Bath Amenities, has seen Blue Wave
become Thailand’s leading supplier of Bath Amenities to local top
hotels and resorts throughout the country. With a quality conscious
approach to design and supply, Blue Wave can boast a list of top brand
name hotels in the country as their customers. In addition, Blue Wave
are the sole Bath Amenities suppliers for Acqua Di Parma, Archive,
BVLGARI, Salvatore Ferragamo, to name a few.
Blue Wave Yachting:
...Under licence and in cooperation with Yachtpro, Blue Wave has setup
a highly professional arm of the successful Phuket based sail training
and chartering company. Based out of Ocean Marina in Jomtien, Blue
Wave is TAT registered with certified ASA Instructors, can offer a
wide range of sailing courses and boat chartering options. Blue Wave
also commands experience and strong offerings for Corporate Team Building.
Blue Wave can boast possession of a range of sailboats and is ideally
positioned providing local hotels & resorts with day sailing activities
for their guests.
Sailing Qualifications and Accreditations
Blue Wave / Yachtpro has instructors qualified in:
• ASA Instructor Evaluator,
• Yacht Cruising to Offshore Passage Making (Yachtmaster),
• Yacht Racing to Offshore Racing Skipper,
• Small Boat Handling,
• Power and Rescue Boat Handling,
• Navigation, and
• Radio Operation.
Blue Wave/Yachtpro is accredited with and recognized by :
• International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA)
• American Sailing Association (ASA), and
• Australian Yachting Federation (AYF)
Blue Wave/Yachtpro skippers are licensed Thai & Australian Captains,
ensuring our operations comply with local laws.
